WHAT WE DO

Panubli

"Panubli" is a term derived from the Hiligaynon language, spoken in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. It means something that is passed down from one generation to the next, often referring to heritage, legacy, or traditions. The word embodies the idea of inheritance, not just in the material sense, but also in the cultural, spiritual, and ancestral wisdom that is transmitted through generations.

Our Mission

To honour and preserve the rich heritage of Filipino ancestral knowledge by creating a sacred space in the UK for the practice and exploration of traditional Hilot bodywork within the Filipino diaspora. We are committed to building a community where ancient healing practices are passed down, seamlessly integrated into modern well-being, and shared across generations. By bridging traditional wisdom with contemporary practices, Panubli creates connections that nurture both personal and communal healing. Through education, cultural exchange, and holistic care, we empower individuals to reconnect with their roots and cultivate well-being for themselves and their communities.

“In our stories and traditions, the voices of our ancestors speak, guiding us to remember who we are.”
— - Lualhati Bautista (A well-known Filipino novelist and activist, often reflecting on Filipino identity and heritage)
