ALAB SIKAT

Community Builder and Ancestral Healing and Wellness Advocate

With a commitment to both tradition and modern well-being, Alab Sikat is the founder of Panubli Therapies ("Therapies Beyond Traditions") and the School of Kapwa. Panubli Therapies is dedicated to preserving and revitalizing Filipino ancestral healing practices, offering holistic therapies that honor the wisdom passed down through generations while integrating them with contemporary healing approaches. The School of Kapwa, on the other hand, serves as a space for education and community-building, focused on reconnecting individuals with the deep-rooted values of kinship, shared humanity, and collective healing that are central to Filipino culture.

Alab is a certified Mental Health First Aider and serves as a Mental Health and Welfare Officer for a UK-based Filipino charity that supports Filipino migrants who are victims of domestic violence. She also holds a certificate in Healing Intergenerational Trauma under the guidance of Dr. Peter Levine and Euphrasia Nyaki of Somatic Experiencing, further deepening her understanding of trauma and its impacts across generations. In addition, Alab is completing workshops on the Wheel of Consent and Kindred Teacher Training, and she holds a Level 3 certification in Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology. As the Brand Ambassador for the Philippines for ThinkTree Hub, a global network for complementary therapists and practitioners, Alab blends cultural heritage, trauma-informed care, and modern health knowledge to offer a holistic and compassionate approach to healing. Her work bridges the wisdom of the past with the needs of the present, creating a space where ancient traditions meet modern wellness.
